In case of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) who may have a bank account in India, is it mandatory to get Aadhaar verification of bank account? Would such NRI/OCI operate bank account in India become inoperative after 31st Dec. 2017?

NRI/OCI are not eligible to obtain Aadhaar as per the Aadhaar Act and hence fully exempted to produce Aadhaar for any verification.

NRI/OCI need NOT verify their bank account or SIM or PAN with Aadhar. 

If required they may inform the service provider/s that they being NRI/OCI are exempted from Aadhar Verification.
